These Terms apply to your use of CandlesMolds.com and to orders placed through our online store.
Additional policies may also apply to your order, including our:
These policies should be read together with these Terms where relevant. If mandatory law gives you rights that are more favourable than these Terms or our store policies, those mandatory legal rights continue to apply.
3. Consumer and Business Customers
Our products may be purchased by individual candle makers, hobbyists, professional makers and businesses.
If you purchase primarily for purposes outside your trade, business, craft or profession, you may be considered a consumer under applicable consumer law and may benefit from additional statutory rights.
If you purchase primarily for business purposes, certain rights that apply specifically to consumers may not apply to your purchase.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to classify a customer incorrectly or remove legal rights that apply to them.
4. Eligibility and Online Store Use
You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract in your jurisdiction in order to place an order with us.
If you are below the legal age required to enter into a contract, you should use the Site and make purchases only with the involvement and permission of a parent, guardian or other person legally authorised to act on your behalf.
You may not use our Site, products or Services for an unlawful or unauthorised purpose.
You must not introduce viruses, malicious code or other material designed to damage, disrupt or obtain unauthorised access to our Site, systems or Services.
5. Shopify and Our Ecommerce Platform
CandlesMolds.com is hosted and operated using Shopify's ecommerce platform. Shopify provides technology that enables us to operate our online store, process transactions and provide related ecommerce services.
Shopify collects and processes certain personal information when you visit our store, browse products, use checkout, create or use Shopify-related customer services, place an order or otherwise interact with our store.
We have enabled Shopify Network Intelligence. Shopify Network Intelligence allows Shopify to securely use information from interactions with our store together with information from interactions with other merchants and Shopify to generate insights and provide enhanced Shopify services.
These services may help us and Shopify provide more personalised shopping experiences, improve store and service performance, understand how customers interact with stores and advertisements, prevent fraud and, where permitted by applicable law and your privacy choices, provide more relevant advertising and marketing.
Information about your activity on our store may therefore be shared with and processed by Shopify and other service providers, including providers located in countries other than the country where you live, where necessary to operate our store or provide Shopify services, including services incorporating information from your interactions with our store, other merchants and Shopify.
For further information about how personal information is handled, please review our Privacy Policy .
You can also learn more through the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and the Shopify Privacy Portal .
6. Products and Product Information
We aim to provide clear and accurate descriptions, photographs, specifications, dimensions, materials and other relevant information for products offered through our store.
Product photographs are intended to represent products as accurately as reasonably possible. However, colours may appear slightly different depending on factors such as screen settings, lighting and device display characteristics.
Where dimensions or measurements are provided, customers should review them before ordering to determine whether the product is suitable for their intended project.
Product availability may change. A product being displayed on our Site does not guarantee that it will remain available indefinitely.
Nothing in this section limits your legal rights if goods are faulty, not as described, materially different from what was advertised or otherwise fail to meet applicable legal requirements.
7. Silicone Material Information
Certain silicone materials used within our supply chain are supported by independent laboratory testing. Any test-report or material-quality statements displayed on our Site apply only within the scope described in the relevant documentation.
You can review further information on our Silicone Mold Safety & Quality Standards page.
Laboratory reports relating to particular silicone materials should not be interpreted as certification of every finished product unless we expressly state otherwise and have documentation supporting that specific claim.
8. Prices and Currency
Product prices are displayed on our Site and may be shown in different currencies depending on your location, market or currency selection.
The price applicable to an order will be the price shown during checkout when the order is placed, subject to correction of genuine obvious errors as described below.
We may change product prices, promotions or discounts for future orders at any time. A later price change will not, by itself, change the price of an order that we have already accepted.
Where applicable taxes are collected by us at checkout, they will be displayed or included as required by applicable law.
Any import taxes, customs duties or other charges associated with an international shipment will be handled in accordance with the information presented during checkout, our Shipping Policy and applicable law.
9. Placing an Order
Before placing an order, you should review your cart, selected products, quantities, shipping address, billing details and other order information and correct any errors.
When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase the products shown in your order at the price and on the terms presented during checkout.
After an order is submitted, we normally send an electronic order confirmation to the email address provided during checkout.
You should retain your order confirmation and these Terms for your records.
Orders are subject to payment authorisation, availability and our ability to deliver to the shipping address provided.
10. Order Acceptance and Cancellation by Us
We may refuse or cancel an order before dispatch where there is a reasonable and lawful reason to do so, including where:
- payment cannot be authorised;
- fraud or unauthorised payment is reasonably suspected;
- a product is unexpectedly unavailable;
- we cannot deliver to the address or destination supplied;
- the order breaches applicable law;
- the order contains an obvious pricing or product-information error that a reasonable customer would recognise as a mistake; or
- we reasonably believe the order involves misuse of our Site or Services.
We will not refuse service or cancel an order for an unlawful discriminatory reason.
If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will refund the amount paid for the cancelled products using the original payment method, subject to applicable law and payment-provider processing.
11. Billing and Account Information
You agree to provide information that is reasonably accurate and complete when placing an order or maintaining a customer account.
This includes providing an accurate email address, shipping address, billing information and other information required to process and deliver your order.
You should update relevant information where necessary so that we can process transactions and communicate with you about your order.
If you maintain a customer account, you are responsible for taking reasonable steps to protect access to that account.
Please contact us promptly if you believe your account or payment information has been used without authorisation.
12. Payment
Available payment methods are displayed during checkout and may vary depending on your country, currency, device or other factors.
Payments may be processed by Shopify, financial institutions, payment-card networks, digital-wallet providers or other third-party payment processors.
Your payment method may be authorised or charged when the order is placed or processed in accordance with the payment method and checkout flow used.
We do not guarantee that every payment method will remain available in every region.
13. Shipping and International Fulfillment
We offer international shipping to supported destinations as described in our Shipping Policy .
Orders may be processed or fulfilled through our international fulfillment network, which may include facilities in the United Kingdom, United States, China and Hong Kong.
The facility used to fulfill an order may depend on product availability, destination, inventory and operational requirements.
An order containing multiple products may sometimes arrive in more than one shipment.
Fulfillment facilities are operational locations and are not automatically customer return addresses. Please do not send a return to our registered office or any fulfillment location unless we have specifically instructed you to use that address for an approved return.
For processing times, estimated transit times, supported destinations, tracking, split shipments, customs information and delivery issues, please review our Shipping Policy .
14. Delivery
Any delivery timeframe shown on our Site or in our Shipping Policy is an estimate unless we expressly agree a specific guaranteed delivery date.
We will take reasonable steps to dispatch and deliver orders within the timeframes communicated to customers.
Delivery can occasionally be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including carrier delays, customs processing, weather events, transport disruption or other events affecting the delivery network.
Nothing in this section removes any right you may have under applicable law where goods are not delivered within an agreed or legally required timeframe.
15. Incorrect or Incomplete Delivery Information
You are responsible for checking the shipping information provided during checkout.
If you notice an error in your address after placing an order, please contact us as soon as possible.
Where an order has not yet been dispatched, we will make reasonable efforts to correct the address where operationally possible.
Once a shipment has entered the carrier network, we may not be able to change the delivery address.
Any consequences of incorrect information will be considered reasonably and in accordance with applicable law and the circumstances of the particular order.
16. Cancellation, Returns and Refunds
Our store provides a 14-day change-of-mind return request period for eligible physical goods, subject to the conditions and exceptions described in our Returns & Refund Policy .
The Returns & Refund Policy explains:
- when a return may be requested;
- return eligibility;
- how to request a return;
- return shipping responsibility;
- return-address instructions;
- damaged, defective or incorrect items;
- refund processing;
- order cancellations; and
- applicable exclusions.
Our store return policy is additional to any mandatory statutory rights you may have under applicable consumer law.
If mandatory law in your country provides stronger consumer rights, those rights are not reduced by our store policy or these Terms.
17. Faulty, Damaged, Incorrect or Misdescribed Products
If you receive a product that is damaged, defective, incorrect or materially different from its description, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible so that we can investigate and provide an appropriate resolution.
We may reasonably request information such as:
- your order number;
- a description of the issue;
- photographs or video showing the problem; and
- photographs of packaging where shipping damage is involved.
These requests are intended to help us investigate the issue and do not remove statutory rights that apply to you.
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, remedies may include replacement, refund, repair where appropriate or another legally required remedy.
18. Consumer Rights
Nothing in these Terms or any other Candles Molds policy is intended to exclude or restrict rights that cannot legally be excluded.
For example, where UK consumer law applies, goods must meet applicable legal requirements concerning matters such as satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular disclosed purpose and conformity with their description.
Consumers purchasing at a distance may also have cancellation rights under applicable law, subject to statutory exceptions.
Our Returns & Refund Policy does not replace these statutory rights.
19. Product Use and Candle-Making Safety
Candle making may involve hot wax, heat sources, fragrance materials, dyes, sharp tools and other equipment that require appropriate care.
You are responsible for using products reasonably and following relevant product instructions, material instructions and safety guidance applicable to your project.
Where you make finished candles for sale or distribution, you are responsible for assessing your finished products and complying with applicable product-safety, labelling and commercial requirements relevant to your market.
Information provided through our Site, blog, FAQ, calculators or educational resources is intended to provide general candle-making guidance and does not replace product-specific manufacturer instructions, professional advice or legal and regulatory requirements applicable to your circumstances.
Nothing in this section excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or affects your rights in relation to a defective or misdescribed product supplied by us.
20. Candle-Making Calculators and Educational Resources
We may provide free candle-making calculators, guides, articles, FAQs and other educational resources.
Results generated by calculators and information contained in our resources may depend on the information entered, material characteristics, testing conditions and other project-specific variables.
You should use appropriate judgement, product specifications and testing when applying general guidance to a particular candle-making project.
Where you manufacture candles commercially, you remain responsible for testing and assessing the safety and performance of your finished products.
21. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise indicated, the content of CandlesMolds.com, including our text, graphics, branding, logos, page layouts, photographs, illustrations, videos, calculators and other original content, is owned by or licensed to Candles Molds Ltd and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
You may access and use our Site for lawful personal or business shopping purposes.
You may not reproduce, copy, republish, distribute, sell, commercially exploit or systematically extract our protected Site content without our permission except where applicable law expressly permits such use.
Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of our intellectual property to you.
22. Reviews, Photographs and Other User Content
Where our Site allows you to submit reviews, comments, photographs or other content, you remain responsible for the content you submit.
You confirm that you have the necessary rights or permission to submit that content and that your submission does not unlawfully infringe the rights of another person.
You must not knowingly submit:
- false or misleading reviews;
- content impersonating another person;
- unlawful, defamatory or threatening material;
- content infringing intellectual-property or privacy rights;
- malicious code or harmful material; or
- content otherwise prohibited by applicable law.
By voluntarily submitting content intended for publication, you grant Candles Molds Ltd a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, display and use that content in connection with our Site, products and reasonable marketing activities, subject to applicable privacy and consumer-protection laws.
You retain any ownership rights that you otherwise have in your original content.
We may moderate or remove user content where we reasonably believe it violates these Terms, applicable law, platform requirements or the rights of another person.
23. Third-Party Services and Links
Our Site may integrate with or contain links to services operated by third parties, such as payment providers, shipping carriers, social-media platforms, review services or other external websites.
Independent third-party services are governed by their own terms, policies and practices.
We are not responsible for the content or independent practices of third-party websites that we do not operate or control.
You should review the relevant terms and privacy notices before using an independent third-party service.
Nothing in this section excludes responsibility that applicable law places on Candles Molds Ltd in connection with services forming part of our contractual obligations to you.
24. Optional Tools and Services
We may make third-party tools, applications, payment methods or other optional services available through our Site.
Some tools may be provided directly by independent third parties and may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
We may introduce, modify or discontinue optional Site functionality from time to time, provided that doing so does not unlawfully remove rights relating to an order or contract already accepted by us.
25. Privacy and Personal Information
Our processing of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy .
Depending on your location, you may also have access to cookie-consent, privacy-preference or data-sharing controls.
Where applicable in your region, our Your Privacy Choices page provides additional information and opt-out functionality.
26. Errors and Inaccuracies
Despite reasonable efforts to keep our Site accurate, occasional typographical, technical, pricing, inventory or product-information errors may occur.
We may correct errors and update Site information when reasonably necessary.
If we identify a material error affecting an order before dispatch, we may contact you to explain the issue and, where appropriate, allow you to confirm the corrected order or cancel it for a refund.
We will not use this provision to avoid contractual or statutory obligations or to remove rights you otherwise have under applicable law.
27. Promotions and Discounts
Promotions, discount codes and special offers may be subject to additional conditions disclosed with the relevant promotion.
Unless stated otherwise, promotional offers:
- apply only during the specified promotional period;
- may apply only to eligible products or markets;
- may not be combinable with other promotions; and
- may be subject to reasonable purchase limits disclosed with the offer.
Promotional conditions will not remove mandatory consumer rights.
28. Prohibited Uses
You must not use our Site or Services:
- for an unlawful purpose;
- to encourage or facilitate unlawful activity;
- to infringe intellectual-property or other legal rights;
- to submit deliberately false or fraudulent information;
- to distribute viruses, malware or malicious code;
- to obtain unauthorised access to systems or accounts;
- to collect personal information about other users unlawfully;
- to conduct phishing, fraud or deceptive activity;
- to interfere with the security or proper operation of our Site;
- to use automated systems to scrape or extract Site content in violation of applicable law or our rights; or
- otherwise in a manner that materially harms our Site or Services.
We may take reasonable action, including restricting Site or account access, where we reasonably believe these rules have been materially violated.
29. Website Availability
We aim to keep CandlesMolds.com available and functioning properly, but we do not guarantee that the Site will always operate without interruption.
Maintenance, security issues, technical failures, third-party service interruptions or circumstances outside our reasonable control may occasionally affect availability.
Temporary website unavailability does not remove rights relating to an order or contract already entered into with us.
30. Our Responsibility to Consumers
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where doing so would be unlawful.
In particular, nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for:
- death or personal injury caused by negligence where it cannot lawfully be excluded;
- fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
- liability relating to goods or Services where applicable consumer law prohibits exclusion or limitation;
- your statutory consumer rights; or
- any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
If you are a consumer, we are responsible for loss or damage that is a reasonably foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill, subject to applicable law.
Loss or damage is foreseeable if it was obvious that it might happen or if, when the contract was made, both you and we knew it might happen.
If you are purchasing as a consumer, we are generally not responsible for losses arising solely from your trade or business activities to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Nothing in this section affects remedies or rights provided by mandatory law in the country where those rights apply.
31. Events Outside Our Reasonable Control
We are not responsible for a delay or failure caused by an event outside our reasonable control to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Such events may include severe weather, natural disasters, widespread transport disruption, carrier network failures, customs disruption, industrial action, war, civil disturbance, governmental restrictions, major infrastructure failures or other comparable circumstances.
Where such an event materially affects your order, we will take reasonable steps to minimise the effect and communicate with you where practicable.
If an event results in a substantial delay, you retain any cancellation or refund rights available under applicable law or our policies.
32. Suspension or Termination of Website Access
We may suspend or restrict access to our Site or customer-account features where reasonably necessary for:
- security;
- maintenance;
- fraud prevention;
- investigation of material misuse;
- legal compliance; or
- protection of customers, our business or third parties.
Suspending Site or account access does not automatically cancel an existing order or remove rights and obligations already arising from an accepted contract.
33. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our business, Services, technology, legal requirements or Shopify platform features.
The latest version will be published on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
Changes to these Terms will generally apply prospectively.
An order already placed and accepted will generally remain governed by the terms and information applicable when that contract was entered into, except where a change is required by law or you expressly agree otherwise.
34. No Waiver
If we do not immediately exercise a right or remedy available under these Terms or applicable law, that does not necessarily mean we have waived that right or remedy.
Similarly, any delay by you in exercising a right does not affect any right that applicable law does not permit to be waived.
35. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found by a court or other competent authority to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be treated as modified or removed only to the extent necessary.
The remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent legally possible.
36. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and contracts entered into through CandlesMolds.com are generally governed by the laws of England and Wales.
However, if you are a consumer living outside England and Wales, nothing in these Terms deprives you of mandatory consumer protections that apply to you under the law of your country or region.
Consumers may bring proceedings in any court that applicable mandatory law permits them to use. Nothing in these Terms is intended to require a consumer to give up a legal right to bring a claim in a court that has jurisdiction under applicable law.
For transactions made primarily for business purposes, and where legally permitted, the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction in relation to disputes arising from these Terms or the relevant contract, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
37. Language
Unless otherwise expressly stated, contracts entered into through our English-language store are concluded in English.
Translations may be provided for convenience where available. Where applicable law requires otherwise, those legal requirements will apply.
38. Complaints and Dispute Resolution
If you have a concern about an order, product or our Services, please contact us so that we can investigate the issue and attempt to resolve it directly.
Email:
info@candlesmolds.com
You may also use our Contact Us page .
Where applicable law requires us to provide information about an available Alternative Dispute Resolution or other consumer-dispute process in relation to a complaint, we will provide the relevant information as required.
Nothing in this section prevents you from exercising any right to seek a remedy through a court, regulator or other body available to you under applicable law.
