This classical muse mold creates a portrait-style bust candle with the face, hair and upper figure as the main decorative focus. It is a more sculptural alternative to a standard pillar and works well when the candle itself is intended to be the display piece.
Classical Figure Design
The flexible silicone cavity captures the raised facial and hair detail of the bust while allowing the finished figure to be released without a rigid two-part shell.
Pouring the Bust
Support the mold securely before pouring and keep the wick centered through the main body of the figure. Pour steadily so wax can reach the narrower facial and hair details, then allow the candle to cool fully through the thicker bust and base.
Demolding
Begin around the wider base and back of the figure. Peel the silicone upward gradually, taking extra care around the face, hair and narrower edges rather than pulling on the finished candle or wick.
